Most government websites are jam-packed with information about every single aspect of their organization, usually organized to mirror the elaborate, sometimes complicated, innerworkings of governmental structure. While this information represents the important, helpful services these organizations offer, it can simply be too much of a good thing. As a unit of government, it’s unfair to assume your constituents know (or care about) the way your agency is structured. Even if they do understand your organization’s structure, constituents shouldn’t have to riffle through unnecessary information to get to what they need.
